Karamba, with its colourful parrot mascot, has been offering online slots and caisno games since 2005.

In 2015, the site was redesigned, and it has expanded throughout its history: starting off with just NeoGames slots, it now hosts more than 200 games from some of the biggest developers in the business as well as some exclusives.

The design is clear and easy to use, and it feels a friendly and safe place to play slots, table games, and live casino games. There’s a good range of deposit methods, including the biggest online wallets, and help and gambling advice are well signposted.

Unlike a lot of casinos, Karamba offers a demo play section so you can try out or enjoy playing games without paying up or even registering.

Getting Started

Signing up is quick and easy with just two forms to fill in, the first setting up your account details, the second collecting personal details. In fact, perhaps it’s a bit too easy, you aren’t encouraged to mix up characters in your password or go through any account validation.

However, you can set your deposit limit and reality check period as you sign up. Once inside, you’re delivered to the deposit screen, but you can just close that if you want to take a look around first.

The Software And Games

There are nearly 100 video slots at Karamba. To help you find the games you’re after, they’re also divided into Classic slots and Jackpot games (though when we visited there was just one of these, Cosmic Jackpot), Scratch Slots, and recently played and New games.

You can also play scratchcards and live casino games. Developers who supply the games include NetEnt, Microgaming, NYX, Amaya and NeoGames, so there’s a good variety.
Popular titles include the likes of When Pigs Fly, Starburst, and Steam Tower although these will change regularly with the addition of new titles. Live games are by Evolution Gaming.

The Games

So you’ve got lots of quality games and a simple, easy-to-use design at Karamba Casino. That’s a great start for any casino site. But the design feels a little tired and functional – it’s not the most stylish site we’ve seen by a long chalk. And we encountered a couple of technical issues with windows not opening or closing as quickly as they should.

Karamba uses a lot of pop-up windows: to ask you if you’re sure if you want to leave a game (yes, I’m sure!), to push promotions, and to put the cashier in front of you. And you get logged out if you open more than one tab, but your password autocompletes when you try to log in.

That said, the design is simple and clear, if a little old fashioned. Chat help is easy to find, and worked pretty quickly on a quick test. There’s a good choice of games – particularly some of the live casino games – and some big, popular favourites, like the blockbusting Game of Thrones slot.

Promotions and Specials

Karamba does do promos, but unless they appear in a pop-up in front of your eyes they’re not easy to find. There’s a welcome bonus, of course, that will be subject to change, but also some seasonal offers, including cashbacks and free spins, many of them related to the site’s VIP programme.

Mobile Casino

Karamba can be enjoyed on the go at a mobile version of the site. There’s a QR code to scan to launch the site or you can request an email link. You can also download an app – called Casino Real Money – that can be found at the App Store and is also available on Android devices. The mobile version is smaller, with more than 30 games rather than hundreds.

Karamba’s a pretty good site that should be added to your online gaming experience. To become a real favourite it’s going to have to do some work on design and experience, though.

One of its best functions is the demo play option, allowing you to check out games for free, and that’s well worth using. Overall, it looks safe, secure, fun and functional, while lacking that little something extra.
